This sculpture feels like a walk in nature. When you walk to see the landscape but when you look closely you notice the small creatures all around. The center of the sculpture is an encaustic painting of poppies. The painting started first by laying down vintage lace, look closely at the painting and you can see the layers of lace in the background. The glass was created with powdered glass and fired in a kiln. You can see the tiny bubbles that are created when you melt glass. The small oil paintings on canvas are of a swallowtail butterfly first as a caterpillar, then a Pupa and finally just emerging from the Chrysalis. There is a vintage cast iron Bird and needle point. The young birds were created from a relief carving I did and then pressed it in clay to create the tile.

Contact Journey Sculptures when you decide to purchase a sculpture in the inventory.  All sales are done in person or by phone. We accept credit cards, and other forms of payment.  Our goal is for you to be 100% satisfied.  Not only with your sculpture, but also the process of purchasing and delivery.  We will work with you every step of the way to ensure all processes are smooth.  

Shipping

Shipping will be arranged at the time of purchasing the sculpture.  If possible Deborah will deliver and install the sculpture. When hand delivery is not possible boxing and shipping will be arranged with a national or international carrier.  This will be worked out at the time of purchase.  Factors of location and size of sculpture will determine if additional cost will be incurred.  Deborah’s intent is to keep the cost as manageable as possible.  There is no reasonable way to calculate the shipping cost without knowing the location.  We decided to do it this way so that we were not arbitrarily adding shipping cost to each sculpture price.  It makes sense to figure shipping at the time of the sale.
